Up for auction is a pretty unique car. In 1984 Datsun switched to Nissan and the Maxima was born. This one has stood the test of time with is straight body and very nice clean interior. The former owner got creative when the original engine was getting tired. He picked up a late 70's 280Z and transplated that motor and the 5 speed transmission into the Maxima. The installation looks factory. Everything works down to the reverse lights. The clutch is how it is supposed to be and it shifts nice and smooth. The 5 speed was only offered in this body style with the diesel 810's that were 2 years prior to this car but never again until the body style change in '85 and the introduction to the SE model. All the power options in this car work. There are no holes in the interior. The console is mint and all of the gauges work perfectly. The air conditioning was converted at that time and it works as well. You can drive this car everyday if you like as you will most likely not see another one. This is the last rear wheel drive Maxima's ever produced and now it has a 5 speed transmission. Imagine adding a turbo. or a 2JZ swap in this car. You'd surprise a lot of folks. I got pictures in a parking deck so you could see the depth of the original paint and how straight the body is. Other than a few cracks in the dash the car is very near perfect. It even comes with a Nissan factory service manual. user manual and even the original window sticker from when the car was new. This car was loved and it shows. This car was purchased for my son but he likes the body style of the '87 better so he got one of those. I don't really have a need nor space for it so I've decided to move it on. Any questions please email thru ebay. Thanks for looking and for your consideration.
