Car description |
---|
I am the second owner of this Z32TT. Car was purchased with approximately 48K miles. It is currently coming up on 60K miles. Car has been garaged all of its life. I have only driven it on the occasional weekend only during good weather and mostly in the Fall since I like to have the T-tops out. Mechanically, the vehicle is pretty much stock. I did install a SpecialtyZ 2.5" catback oval exhaust as the original was beginning to deteriorate. Still has stock intake and running stock boost. The radio has been replaced with a Kenwood radio/CD head unit. AC system blows still blows cold. This car has been very well maintained. Car never tracked or driven hard.
Following has been done:
Transmission had slight grind if vehicle was shifted from 5th to 4th gear above 45 mph. Common problem in z32 due to synchronizers. Could have driven it much longer--just don't downshift from 5th to 4th above 45mph. But I knew it was there and that bugs me. So, I had total rebuild done on transmission.
120K timing belt service performed. Replaced drive/accessory belts, water pump, radiator, radiator hoses and cooling fan at same time. All parts replaced with Nissan parts except radiator hoses. Used Z1 motorsports silicone hoses.
Replaced all injectors with the Nissan OEM newer style usedon the 94+ plus model. Stayed with the 370cc flow rate. Also replaced. Fuel filter, regulator, and dampener. All Nissan OEM parts. Also, replaced plenum with power coated gray to match oem as close as possible. All bosses on plenum pre-shaved before powder coating so as access can now be gained to injectors easily with intake manifold on car. Throttle body coolant line bypass performed while intake manifold fold off. Allfuelfrom fuel filter to fuel injector rail replaced with Nissan OEM fuel. Fast idle control valve and air regulator also replaced while plenum off (Nissan OEM). Valve covers gaskets replace/resealed while intake manifold off. VTC solenoids also replaced while there.
Always used Amsoil/Redline synthetic fluids for engine, transmission, and differential.
At one point I thought about doing performing mods just because, but changed my mind because I never did drive the car hard in stock form, so what was the point (reason I went back with the 370cc instead of the Nismo 740cc injectors). Having saidthat, I am including the following with the sale of the car:
New Ashspec V2 intercoolers 2.5"
New Blitz I-Color Spec R Boost Controller
Specialty Z" 4 bolt 3" downpipes
New 740cc Injectors
I am sure I am leaving out something as I like to replace any wear items if I have to remove any parts to get to where I am going.
