There are believed to be less than FIVE of these trucks in the USA. This Patrol is a competitor to the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43. The price here is for the truck with a white fiberglass top. You have to choose either hard top or soft top. We followed that project with a lightly restored cream colored 1967 L60 Soft Top "Pearl" which caught the imagination of many classic 4x4 fans on the internet. This is a 1980 LG-61 Nissan Patrol. The LG-61 Patrols benefit from having the classic style of the early Patrols but having upgraded axles, mooth shifting 4 speed and legendary P40 4.0 liter straight six. These were Toyota FJ43 fighters in their day and Pedro is a very nice example of an LG-61 in one of the best Nissan colors ever. Truck has unknown mileage but we believe the engine has been previously rebuilt. We are doing a macho style overhaul having installed a custom header and 2.5 inch new exhaust. Truck has the original 2 barrel Nissan/Hitachi carb, anual steering, drum brakes and 4 speed transmission. This is a real ANIMAL of a truck with this engine and header combination. This is the most powerful classic truck I have driven out of 17 trucks so far. It absolutely races up the Colombian mountain road easily keeping up with the modern SUVs. Just remember this truck is geared for the mountains and is likely a 60 mph max cruise truck. Truck steers perfectly with manual steering (these Nissans have a BIG manual steering box). We fitted the truck with 4 matte black alloy 16 by 8 rims with 32 inch 265/75/16 Falken AT trucks. Truck will get a 5th alloy and matching tire. We will add new shackles to adjust the suspension up a bit.Overhaul plans include paint exterior paint touch up and dent removal. Paint the floors light texture. Truck has been inspected on a lift and has no rust. New Tokico shocks. Clean and rebuild perfect running carburetor. All new fluids, ilters, park plugs and lines etc. New brake overhaul. White fiberglass top to get all new glass and window gaskets. The interior will be black high quality vinyl over new foam with custom floor coverings. 6 new seat belts. AC is an option.
