Car description

I am selling my classic car collection. Here is a very rare 1956 Nash Ambassador LeMans. I purchased the car out of Texas.Thesewere Ambassador Custom models that featured the dual side draft carburetor Nash Healy motor from the factory.I have searched for any information such as production figures or sales literature and was never able to locate anything specific to these LeMans models as these cars were very low production. The only information I was told was that in anticipation of strong sales for their Nash Healey line Nash produced a surplus of these engines. As the Healeys did not sell as many as anticipated Nash had a surplus of these engines left over and in an effort to utilize them decided to create the LeMans model to add to their Ambassador line. They were produced for 3 years from 1954-1956. So this is the last year for this model and as a rule when a car company has a limited run the last year usually has the lowest amount of cars produce. The only other noticeable item that denotes this as a LeMans is the LeMans nameplate which is on the rear quarter panels. This car is just as I purchased it . I have not done anything to it including drive it as my schedule did not allow me to find time toenjoy it. This is the reason I am selling it The previous owner had this car restored and I have over $15,000 in receipts alone not including the car itself. The car was originallytri-tone green, blackand white and the previous owner decided to have it restored in the originalred, black and white colors which is much more striking. This is an Ambassador so it is equipped with a 6cylinderOHV engine and automatic transmission. The car ran well when I bought it and has always been stored indoors under a cover by me.. I assume it will need a battery and a fuel pump as any car I've hadneeded the same after they sat for a bit. Maybe new gas as well. I'm not a mechanic so it may need something else There are a few softbubbles in the red areas on both sides and it will need a small body repair to the r/s lowerquarter panel behind the rear wheel I tried to show this in some of the photos. The car has wide whitewall radial tires. It has the rare plexiglass tintedsun visors (1 has slight crack). I have some additional items that go with the car. I have a set of 4 stainless vent shades for the doors, 5 factory wire hubcaps (not shown) and a pair of extremely rare dealer accessory mattress pads in their original carrying bags You don't want to know what I paid for those or how long it took me to find them! This is a rare opportunity toown a cool orphan brand that would make a nice addition to your collection. As this is a 64 year old car I am selling this as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied.A 1000.00 non refundable deposit is required within 2 days and full payment within 7 days. Iwill not release the car or title until full payment is cleared by my bank by wire transfe, bank check or cash.Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I can store the car atno charge for 30 days while shipping is arranged if buyer contacts me prior to end of sale.SHIPPER MUST HAVE A WINCH. Car is located in the San FranciscoBay Area .Feel free to contact me with any questions or for more info PRIOR to bidding at 510-333-3650 as I may have updates regarding the mechanics of the car
