Car description |
---|
This car is not your typical Ford, Chevy or Dodge. This is your chance to own a very rare orphan car from the 50's. This car was originally from California. The only rust-through I found was in the floor boards which is common for these Ramblers. I replaced the floor boards in 2004 and painted them. We moved right after that and that's as far as I've gotten. The car has been in barn storage ever since. This is a very solid car, but obviously in need of restoration. There is no headliner and the seats and door panels will all have to be re-upholstered. All of the seats fold down to create a bed. This car has a lot of very nice trim, creating perfect lines for a two or three tone paint job. I have taken pictures of the dents that are in the tailgate and the rear valance which is behind the bumper.
The engine is bad so this car comes with a Tennessee parts car, a 1957 Rambler 4 door sedan (VIN F381570). This car, is also restore-able, although the rockers and floor are pretty rusty, it has many salvageable parts that would make this car, in and of itself, valuable. The parts car hasn't been run for 14 years but the engine still turns freely. This car has also been stored inside since we have owned it.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks, Jeff
