Car description |
---|
This car was originally listed for sale last summer at a no reserve starting price of $28,500. But due to the owner’s impending move from CT to GA, it is now being offered at a no reserve price of $19,000 with an offer to pay half of any shipping costs up to $750 incurred by the buyer. That’s a $10,000 savings you should take advantage of right now.
If you’ve been waiting to find the perfect Nash Metropolitan Convertible to buy, your patience is about to be well rewarded. Here is a rust-free West Coast car--a scarce 1960 Type IV convertible, restored from the ground up to Concours winning condition*, in the perfect color combination of teal green/blue (factory name: Berkshire Green) over white, black convertible top, with its original style matching interior, upgraded to a higher top speed ring and pinion (3:75:1 versus 4:22:1) for today’s faster roads. Converted to 12 volt, this car rides and drives as nice as it looks. Original restored 1500 cc engine with a 3 speed manual transmission. Only about 3000 miles since the restoration was completed. While it has a radio, we doubt the radio is in working condition.
Purchased from a reputable Pomona California dealer a few years ago, it has spent its recent time tootling around the scenic and winding roads of Litchfield County Connecticut. Its lady owner has driven it only on sunny summer days. It's been winterized and stored in a heated garage each fall. Now you have an opportunity to also enjoy turning heads and hearing raves from admiring motorists.
Professionally maintained and preserved by a knowledgeable local mechanic, it has always been well looked after and never driven on winter roads. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer or more collectible version of this timeless classic.
The pictures tell the story. Questions from seriously interested parties are gladly answered. Yes, the independent mechanic who maintains the vehicle will be happy to speak with you by appointment about its outstanding condition. This car needs nothing beyond someone new to love and enjoy it.
I am selling this car for the present owner. My 100% positive rating on over 400 eBay transactions means you can trust my description to be accurate and you will get what you pay for.
Shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the purchaser but the owner has offered to reimburse the buyer 50% of any actual transport costs up to $750.
