I need to reduce the number of projects I'm committed to. This is a project I started and need to find a better home for it. The truck is a 1987 Mitsubishi 4x4 Mighty Max SPX. The body is in good condition with some minor dents and surface rust. The engine needs to be replaced/rebuilt burning oil with low compression when it was last turned over (has not run in the past year). The interior also needs a fair amount of work. Seat needs to be reupholstered, needs carpet and head liner. There is no radio.
Things that I have done to it:1. Rebuilt separate 2.6L engine but needs to be installed in truck. It's on an engine stand. Whoever buys the truck will get the engine and stand too.
2. New head from Top End Performance (www.racetep.com/automaker/starion/cylinder-heads-and-components.html) installed on rebuilt engine.
3. Rebuilt gas tank. Gas tank restoration work was done by Moyer Fuel Tank Renu (www.gas-tank.com).
4. Rebuilt fuel sending unit. Restoration work was done by Tri Starr (tristarrradiator.com).
5. The rebuilt gas tank with fuel sending unit has been installed with a new fuel filler hose.
6. Mounted a Carter electric fuel pump next to the tank but this has not been wired up. There is a "Holly" Weber style carburetor on the truck that was there when I originally bought it which is supplied by the stock mechanical fuel pump. My plan has been to replace it with a proper Weber carb and electric fuel pump.
If there is something specific you would like to see a photo of please let me know and I'll get that to you.
Thanks
