Howdy Folks,
Here is a rare classic from the era of reliable Japanese design.
This Montero is my daily driver and I don't want to part with it, but I am moving over-seas and must sell.Don't dilly dally! (All unreasonable offers will be automatically declined.)
Interior:
This time capsule features good condition dash, instrument knobs, and digital quartz clock.
Extra gauges for: Oil pressure, Inclinometer, Battery Voltage.
A JVC - AM/FM/CD Stereo with Aux input & USB paired with working front and rear speakers.
Carpet/floor is clean, but the original floor mats are not present. Vinyl trim and door panels are all in good condition. The windows are all operating easily and the glass/windshield is un-tinted with no cracks or pitting. The headliner is nice. Dash is NOT cracked by years of sun. Comfortable seats with some wear - Driver seat has a few rips in the fabric. It also has an adjustable spring for shock absorption. All the interior lighting/electrical is working properly. AC was converted from R12 to R134a and works like it should.
Exterior:
Nice condition green paint & smooth clear coat - No peeling or UV damage. There are small scratches/rust spots/dents on the body. This vehicle is not prefect, but overall in good condition. All lights/blinkers are functioning. Locking Fuel Door. Roof Rack included. Currently, the windshield wiper fluid is not spraying - but the pump itself works.The wheels have some surface rust which could be cleaned off. BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires with 50% treadwear
Engine:
The very reliable and long-lasting Cyclone-series 2972cc 3.0L - V6, 4-Speed Automatic with EFI.
Runs and drives great. Smooth idle, Clean. All injectors are functioning properly. The timing belt was recently changed at 178k. The Automatic transmission is shifting well.Absolutely no leaks of any fluid.CV joints are sealed and solid. Hoses are in good condition. All belts are good. Fresh battery under warranty. Alternator, Starter, and Radiator in good condition. New Shocks and AC Compressor installed in 2012. Brake rotors, pads and wheel bearings replaced in 2017. New fuel pump in 2017 (approx. MPG 17/20) Exhaust system has typical surface rust, but no leaks.
