Car description |
---|
I bought this car as a passion project. I had a best friend when I was growing up that had a 1994 VR-4. He modified it to be fast and fun but kept the exterior look as stock as possible.
I purchased a mint condition bone stock VR-4 from a stuntman in California in mid-2016. The car arrived with about 26,000 miles on it and in need of a new clutch, but in pristineoverall shape otherwise.
Wanting the best, I sent the car to 3sx, a shop that specializes in this particular vehicle, located in Concord, North Carolina. I told the guys at 3sx that I wanted a VR-4 that would remain as close to stock looking as possible, while upgrading the power and MOST IMPORTANTLY - building the engine in a way that would ensure no consistent problems and reduce all possibilities of having this car become a garage queen.
Needless to say, this car is reliable and very fun to drive. The turbo spool is a sound I love to hear and the car handles very well on the road.
My reason for selling is that I am not driving the VR-4 nearly as much as I had envisioned when I emarked on the project. I am now ready to let someone else enjoy the fruits of my labor. The wife wants garage space and I am not driving this car more than once or twice a month.
I paid $19,000 for this car. I then paid 3sx approximately $25,000 to build the car. I will gladly share the invoices of work performed with serious buyers and am happy to take videos or furnish any additional information requested. This car is in immaculate condition with the exception of 1 of the rims that is slightly bent. It has not impacted driveability and I haven't purchased a new wheel. Otherwise, no problems - the interior leather is in great shape, the outside is in great shape, etc.
I had every expectation that I was going to lose my shirt on this project but I enjoyed it thoroughly and hope that I can make someone happy with this automobile moving forward.
Please feel free to ask any questions that come to mind.
