This 1968 Morris Mini Cooper S is an Australian-built example that retains its original 1275 inline-four and 4-speed manual gearbox. The car was reportedly sold new to Ray Gulson, a car dealer and racer based in Canberra, Australia. It was imported from Queensland to Southern California in 2002. The body is finished in a factory-correct Lake Green and Snow White color combination. An S-specific 120 mph speedometer remains installed. The 1275 BMC inline-four breathes through dual-SU carburetors and features a front mounted oil-cooler. The engine was rebuilt to original specifications six years ago due to a whining idler-gear bearing. The original pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, connecting rods, cylinder head, and gearbox were reused.
