Car description

Classic style, a value price, and true drop-top appeal make this strong-running 1975 MG Midget the kind of nimble classic that knows how to be a proper driver's machine.
We love these Midgets for continuing to give us the classic appeal of a long hood, low trunk, and clean lines of the other MGs... just in slightly smaller proportions. The cool color on this convertible is the factory-correct Brooklands green. It was given a respray later in life to retain a good gloss. Plus, these really embraced the black bumper era by also having the rocker trim be a separating line for a black lower section. So you have a nice hint of a two-tone, especially with the black folding roof in place. And this one even has cool classic motoring details like rock screens on the headlights and Rostyle wheels.
For a car named Midget, there is a surprising amount of room inside. Decent legroom and high-back bucket seats are the key to this car's comfort. The tan color is a nice combo against the exterior green, and the full package is quite original. Also, unlike other budget British drop-tops, this classic comes from the era of proper roll-up windows and a well-made convertible top. But the most attractive part of this is how the interior speaks directly to the driver. It's in the way the steering wheel has the perfect grip, the gearshift feels like an extension of your arm, and the full Smiths gauge package does an exotic dance as you go down the road.
These final generation Midgets received the largest motor ever available to these sprightly MGs. The 1493 cc inline four under the hood is era-correct and is believed to be original. It produced more torque than the earlier 1275 cc unit, which now made it better suited to American tastes. Add this to better gearing, and this was a quicker car with entertaining performance. The engine bay looks quite stock, and you'll also spot the right signs of good maintenance, including a newer distributor cap, wires, and alternator. It fires up readily with a sporty tone that suggests this Midget is mightier than its size, and that's part of the car's charm. The setup is specifically built for you to take advantage of the fully-synchronized four-speed gearbox and get the most out of this motor. The light body weight, independent front suspension, and front disc brakes all contribute to the sporting attitude.
Still fun after all these years, this Midget is an awesome entry-level roadster whose size is inversely related to the amount of fun it offers. Call today!!!
