OFFERED IS AN EARLY 1974 MGB ROADSTER. THE LAST OF THE CHROME BUMPER MGB'S!After Road Atlanta announced it had finished construction in 1968, I took my high school car, 1966 MGB, (while my parents were out of town), and converted it to an SCCA E production race car! Road Atlanta was my home track and I couldn't wait to race on this beautiful track! After two driver's schools, one at Texas AIR and one at West Palm Beach, Fla, (Jim Fitzgerald was my instructor at West Palm!), I was approved to continue to get my SCCA regional license to race. My very first win in E Production came at my home track, Road Atlanta, two years later! I raced that car until I went to IMSA five years later to race the GT Over Series. I've always had a place in my heart for the MGB and have restored several. I currently own three in addition to this early 1974. I restore them in my airplane hangar as a hobby or as I prefer to call it, "Labor of Love". This MGB has been a two year restoration project and it definitely shows! After using PPG's two part primer, PPG Base Coat (three coats)/Clear coat (four coats) and using a DA Sander with 3M's new 5000 grit for finishing, there is NO ORANGE PEEL! The trunk and engine compartment are painted as nice as the outside. Hundreds of new parts, some of which are labeled below, and hundreds of meticulous hours of labor, it is now ready to go to a deserving owner! The transmission has new seals front and rear, the engine has all new gaskets, front and real seals, to seal it up completely. All new fluids have been installed throughout. New tires on freshly painted (with PPG base coat/clear coat) wheels (five with spare) have been installed, along with new custom designed interior. Add to all this a new convertible top and the car looks magnificent! With a new clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and a newly surfaced flywheel, it drives and runs like a new one! With all the work completed and multiple items all over the car powder coated, this car will offer years of fun and reliability to its new owner!Just Some of the New Parts Installed:•New PPG Primer, Base Coat/Clear Coat•Multiple New Chrome Trim Items (Ex: Body Side Molding, New Grill, etc...)•New Weber Carburetor, Air Filter and Manifold Addition •New Clutch, Pressure Plate, Throw Out Bearing•New Electronic Distributor•New Spark Plugs•New Spark Plug Wires•New Water Pump•New Tires•New Custom Interior (Insulation throughout, Carpet, Side Panels, etc....)•New Pioneer Blue Tooth Stereo and Speakers with Remote•New Rubber Seals for the Hood, Trunk, and Doors•New Gaskets•New Head Lights, their Buckets and Chrome Trim•New Convertible Top•New Grill•Hundreds of New Hardware Items (Nuts, Bolts, Washers, etc....)•New Windshield Washer Pump and Containment Bottle•New Tie Rod Ends•New Steering Rod Covers•New Exhaust Header•New Rear Brake Shoes
