Car description |

1977 MGB - Condition is Used.
A 1977 MGB roadster. It was repainted prior to my ownership. I've driven this for 11 years and it now has two month old tires. I believe you can drive it home.
Known issues -
The hazard switch is shot. It's on backorder nation wide. An easy to install, $20 part that also takes out your blinkers. The circuit with the fuel gauge and tachometer works sometimes, sometimes not. I just reset the odometer when I fill and put up with it as Lucas strikes again!
Sometimes the relay clicks when you try to start the car. It always starts but sometimes you have to turn the key a few times.
There is a 1 inch hole in the roof and drivers seat.
The radiator fan needs a thermostat and is currently disconnected. Not an issue if you don't sit idling for too long.
Pluses-Low mileage - I believe this to be an actual 47000 mile car. This is originally an Alabama car that I bought from daughter of original owner. It has the dual S. U. Carbs, intake and exhaust manifold and non catalyst exhaust system from a 1971 MGB. This was done prior to my ownership but was a common performance upgrade back in the day.
It also has the common 25d point and condenser distributor.
The Amoco trunk rack is original. The tonneau cover is original and has the correct pattern on the inside. The tonneau also has the original grey steel support bar.
It's a 45 year old car that still rides and drives real smoothly.
The auction may end early, if no one has bid, as it is also for sale locally on Facebook Marketplace.
