1971 MG B GT: --Light Green metallic over Beige interior, Beige carpeting, Documented restoration with upgrades, 2.3 liter Ford Duratec 4-cylinder engine, Ford 5-speed manual, Exceptional throughout. After great success with the MG B Roadster, the fixed-roof MGB GT was introduced in October 1965. Pininfarina designed the greenhouse of the GT making for a very sporty hatchback style vehicle. The GT offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe. This new configuration was a 2+2 design and far more cabin space than the roadster. What was already one of the best driving, reliable and fun sports cars of its period has been superbly restored and upgraded turning this MG B GT into a highly delightful little hot rod MG. A no expense spared restoration was performed in 2013. All new paint, upholstery and carpeting were applied for the cosmetics. The GT was then fitted with a 2.3 Liter DOHC and Fuel-injected Ford Duratec 4-cylinder mated to a Ford 5-speed manual gearbox. Other upgrades include hydraulic clutch, MS3 Mega Squirt EFI with Raceline intakes, Jen Vey throttle bodies, 3.07 differential with ring and pinion set up by Bob Wagner Motor Sports, 3-point seatbelts, custom Summit gauges with digital AFR and Minilite 15x5.5 wheels. The restoration and all upgrades are shown in accompanying documentation and receipts. This MG also includes its original 1971 title and registration documentation showing original ownership to Jack Smith of Decatur, GA. All body lines are excellent and this MG is truly exciting to drive. A well-sorted and reliably upgraded British sports car, this B GT is in excellent condition throughout. Having led a charmed life to date, the B GT is seeking a new enthusiast home.
