1967 MG B GT SPECIAL MK I: --Grampian Grey over Black interior with White piping, Black carpeting, 1.8 liter 4-cylinder, 4-speed manual, Restored, Serviced, Wire wheels, Collector owned, Superb throughout. After great success with the MG B Roadster, the fixed-roof MGB GT was introduced in October 1965. Pininfarina designed the greenhouse of the GT making for a very sporty hatchback style vehicle. The GT offered the utility of a station wagon while retaining the style and shape of a coupe. This new configuration was a 2+2 design and far more cabin space than the roadster. The GT marked the end of all MG B Mk I cars with just over 11,000 MG B GTs produced. This GT Special was one of about 1,000 sold by US dealers to commemorate the first anniversary of the model including options like wire wheels, front fender badging, racing-style mirror, wood-rim steering wheel and wood shift knob. This excellent 1960’s sports car is one of the best driving, most reliable and fun sports cars of its period. All body lines are excellent and shows no signs of any accidents or damage prior to restoration. Upon a recent road test, the GT drove extremely well and as was intended from the factory when new. An iconic, well-sorted, classic British sports car, this GT is in superb condition throughout. Detailed service records show the exceptional care the previous owners have taken, regardless of use. It has led a charmed life to date.
