GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this incredibly rare 1950 MG TD Roadster! This outstanding vehicle comes in a brilliant red paint job complemented by a stunning saddle interior, removable windows and soft top. The windows and soft top are in exceptional condition and function as they should. Powering the MG is believed to be the original 1250cc 4 cylinder motor mated to a crisp 4-speed manual transmission. A full frame off restoration is believed to have been completed on the MG based on its impeccable condition. The MD TD has one of the most striking and iconic designs of the past. Combine this with a very low number currently on the road and you have yourself an extremely rare roadster. So, if you're in the market for a vehicle sure to turn a few heads and raise a few questions, this MG is for you. For more information please contact us today.
The MG T series is a range of body-on-frame open two-seater sports cars with very little weather protection that were produced by MG from 1936 to 1955. The series included the MG TA, MG TB, MG TC, MG TD, and MG TF Midget models. The last of these models, the TF, was replaced by the MGA. The 1950 TD Midget announced in January 1950 combined the TC's drivetrain, a modified hypoid-geared rear axle, the MG Y-type chassis, a familiar T-type style body and independent suspension on front axle using coil springs from the MG Y-type saloon.
