Out of control Vintage Racing habit forces the sale of “Lazarus” our 1953 MGTD. Not fully reborn. Lazarus is about 60 percent there and needs lots of TLC. My intent was to make the car serviceable and enjoy driving it around while accumulating parts to eventually put it right. We have made him run with his current power plant from a MGA 1500. I have rebuilt the brakes to the original specification installing silicone brake fluid. He has a replacement steering wheel and is quite rust free and does not appear to have ever been wrecked. F- Bomb painted on both sides of the bonnet. we’ve tried scrubbing but it is still legible. Don’t know if it was vandals or a previous owner. It has the original jack and handle. two XPAG engines a rebuilt drive shaft two original transmissions (one I am in the process of rebuilding). The wiring is a complete bastardization of the original setup but somehow is semi functional. The car is equipped with an alternator. I have two of the original style generators. a distributor. intake components less the air cleaner and carburetors. Included is a rebuilt dual gauge. and lots of other odds and ends I have accumulated for the car. Please ask questions and I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner. Shipping would be by the purchaser and shipping a pallet of the spares would probably run in the $250 range to the east coast.
