1966 MGB MkI Roadster Restored, California Car ......please be patient while the many photos load.....
Classic 1966 MGB MkI Roadster for sale in Sonoma California. Thoughtfully restored around 2010 by its long-term Southern California owner, this stunning roadster looks and drives beautifully.
The body is straight and tidy with smooth and glossy paint and excellent panel alignments. The bonnet, doors and boot lid were removed for paint, new floors and rocker panels installed making this roadster 100% rust free. New rubber was installed all-around. The trim, chrome, glass, stainless, convertible top and tonneau all present well.
The interior was completely replaced with rebuilt, covered seats, new red carpets, and panels, new soft top, and tonneau, all new rubber, matching trunk liner and rebuilt gauges. Stereo blanking plate installed with modern iPod-compatible system controlled by remote control neatly installed in the boot. Front speakers installed in the footwells with wiring behind the seats to facilitate removable, stand-alone rear speakers. Very comfortable driver with a very attractive, nicely installed interior and matching boot.
The driveline appears to have been rebuilt. The car starts; runs and drives beautifully with excellent compression and oil pressure, nicely tuned set of rebuilt SU HS4 carbs, excellent shifting via its 4-speed synchromesh transmission, tight suspension and responsive brakes with excellent tires. The car is immaculate underneath.
In 1966 22,675 total MGB roadsters were built, this was the last year of the original design MK1 cars. After a lifetime of owning these cars and the many I've had in my inventory over the last 14 years, this is one of my top three favorites. It's the perfect color combination, drives incredibly well and really has a great vibe to it. Call me anytime directly at 844-533-8262. Thanks for looking!
