Up for auction - "Moneypenny" - a cute as a button 1974 MGB Convertible MG!
The body is in very good condition, and it runs but needs a few things to get it fully road-worthy.(the main one is rear brakes. Tires should probably be replaced soon too).
It has a tan interior, black flooring, wooden stick-shift handle. Everything seems original, except probably the cassette deck. The radio works, the tape deck does not. And the convertible top islikely a replacement. The convertible top is in great shape aside from a tiny tear just beginningat one of the joints.A Tonneau cover is included, as is a spare tire and original jack. The luggage rack and exterior medallions are in good condition
Some work has been done on this car since I acquired it last fall, including: New XL belt / Accessory Drive Belt Valve Cover Gasket New ignition lock / switch New Plugs and Wires
There is a receipt for a new battery from 5/16
The exterior is in great shape - it was probably repainted at some point but what a perfect match! The paint is in excellent condition aside from a few scratches and tiny chips. The minor flaws that I can point out are: tiny crack and chip at top of rear R tail light worn area of metal around the R turn light tiny tear beginning at joint of convertible top minor rust to undercarriage - surprisingly little! light rust to hubcaps - no MG medallions on hubcaps wear and tear to interior, mainly driver's seat.My story: I acquired this car last fall with high hopes of restoring it and getting it on the roadthis year, but health issues have forced me to part with "Moneypenny." Our mechanic did some initialwork last fall and I kept it safe under a carport all winter, starting her up regularly. I am hoping tosend her to a good home!
