Car description |
---|
A beautiful, professionally restored early MGB....chassis number 33,602 (out of 512,000 MGBs built).
Excellent body and chassis, no indication of plastic filler, excellent floors, chassis, inner sills, trunk floor, etc. Beautiful fairly new green paint, all new black interior. New top, expensive Nardi wood steering wheel, every interior detail has been done to a high standard.
Rebuilt engine and transmission....no smoke, perfect oil pressure, easily revs to the red line in every gear, excellent synchromesh action, and very quiet even in first and reverse gears.
Brakes and suspension have been rebuilt, no play in the front end, all gauges and electrics work properly, wire wheels appear to be in very good condition, new 185/70 radials, new bumpers and grille, new chrome knock offs, spotless engine bay, oil cooler with Aeroquip lines, excellent wiring and electrics, car is ready for a reasonably serious show or just fun driving.
These cars make great 'winding road' classics.....the disc brakes stop as well as a modern car, steering and handling are first rate, same with ride and overall performance with a top speed in excess of 100 mph.
MGB parts are widely available and generally very inexpensive, we could easily update this car with such refinements as: stereo/CD, electronic ignition, back up fuel pump, powerful shrouded electric radiator fan, luggage rack, carpeted trunk, on and on. And when done, will offer a high degree of reliability and very easy service and maintenance.
The early engine offers very good power and free revving making operation even more enjoyable. And as older, rarer, more exotic cars rise in value, they are often annoying for an owner to find parts and have their car repaired. Not a problem with an MGB.
The most desirable and collectible of MGBs...an early 'pull handle' car that is in excellent, restored condition.
Have tried to do my best to represent this car, photos show the car from virtually every angle, top up and down, underneath, engine and trunk bays, interior and exterior. Even reflections in the bodywork to show how straight it is. Would not have the slightest qualms about getting into this car and driving cross country.
PLEASE..ANY QUESTIONS, call me during business hours at 203-377-6746, far too many times, I try and answer via eBay e mail and it bounces back....so call.
Car is available for immediate and the first astute buyer who comes our way will own a sensational car. Car is advertised elsewhere and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time and for any reasons.
(and my son can deliver this car, by truck/trailer, within a 350 mile radius of the NYC area)
(AND one more thing...yes, there WAS a rip in the driver's seat, NOW repaired!!!!!!!!)
