Car description

Up for auction is a driver quality 1970 MGB GT with the rare Webasto folding sunroof option, factory wire wheels and this is also the sought after split rear bumper model. Many dollars have been spent on her as you'll read further down the auction. I got the car not long ago and don't have room for her so off she goes to the next owner. My ownership time is short soI will make every effort to detail everything about the car as I know it so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. This is you chance to get a nice looking / running and driving MGB GT way the heck below the current market value. Car is fairly priced but I'm open to offers.
Mechanical s:The car runs and drives very good. Car starts right up with no issues even after sitting for days. Strong brake and clutch peddle. Holds good oil pressure at around 65 lbs. Recent service with tune up, oil change and oil filter. Other recent items are new ignition switch / lock / harness & keys, new brake stop switch, new brake master cylinder, new front brake rotors, new front brake calipers, new front brake pads, new front brake hoses, new battery, new alternator, new fan belt, new clutch master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new starter, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new temp sending unit and new front steering rack boots. All fluids topped off. Does have an exhaust leak so you should plan on replacing the rear muffler at some point ( runs around $140 parts & labor at your local muffler shop ). Nice quality matching Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. Note: The car has been converted to a Weber carb but the car comes with the complete original SU carbs, intake manifold and air cleaners.
Gauges:All gauges are correct "Smith" brand.
Electrical's :This area is in good condition with the following items in proper working order. Head lights work, front maker lights work, front indicator lights work, front side markers work, front running light work, rear running lights work, rear indicator lights work, rear side maker lights work, rear brake lights work, rear back up lights work, blower fan works and the horn works. Note: The wiper switch needs to be replaced as they work from time to time. The stereo is new but needs new speakers to work.
Exterior:Yep that's the rare Webasto folding sunroof your seeing and she sports factory wire wheels. The car shows nice in the photos and presents herself well in person but I'm calling her a driver quality car just to be on the safe side so there are no issues after the sale. The car is very straight and solid but one should plan on a repaint somewhere in the future. Car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or sagging. Note: The front hood latches but needs the fit adjusted to look correct.

Interior:Looks very nice and tidy as you see in the photos. No rips or tears in the seats or door panels. New MG logo floor mats.
Trunk:The trunk is rock solid as seen in the photos.
Shipping:If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/
Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).In Closing:The abovedescriptionis my observations and opinions and they very from person to person so ask all questions prior to bidding. I'm no mechanic or body guy so I'm selling her as is. If I have missed anything in the cars description it was not my intention so please ask for as much detail as you need to make an informed decision on the car prior to bidding.
I'm not an expert and my opinion ofthe car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or the extra photosI have availableplease ask prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. One should expect a small scratches and imperfections in the paint. ( none of which really show up in the photos ). Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the carI'm selling her"as is" and mileageexempt.A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end via PayPal.
