Car description |

This MG is in great shape and is ready for a summer of top down cruising! I purchased this MG last year from the previous owner, that gentleman was a Detroit City Bus Mechanic who had taken on this car as a retirement project and did considerable work bringing the car up to the fantastic shape you see here. He rewired most of it, replaced taillights and emblems, fuel lines, fuel filter and pump, and put in an all-new radiator, fan and hoses.
Since I've owned it, I had the fuel vapor tank replaced in the trunk, bought and installed a brand new starter, and make a few small tweaks and adjustments. If you're asking why I'm selling? I bought another convertible this winter and the garage is a little tight with both of the cars in there!
The car was repainted in the original Sandglow color by the previous owner, and although it isn't perfect, the paint still looks pretty spectacular with a really nice shine. Car runs fantastic, starts right up (esp w/ the new starter) and shifts smoothly without any issues at all. All the gauges work perfectly, all indicators and lights are functional.
Cons: Not too many! It's a 40 year old car, so temper your expectations... it's unique. Has a little bit of surface rust, a few dings. Underside looks pretty solid, with undercoating and some surface rust visible. That being said, I looked at probably 10 MGs before buying this one, and it was by far in the best shape. It has a pretty crappy aftermarket radio. I meant to replace it, and haven't gotten to it yet. Other than that, it's pretty sharp.
Comes with a spare, the original jack, all of my MG books, and it has a brand new convertible top that hasn't been installed too! I leave the tonneau cover on it because I never drive it in the rain. Clean title in my name, ready to go!
