Here's a really nice 1962 MGA MKII,1600. Car has 1622 engine, 16GC-U-H-1100, that is original to the car. As seen in the pictures, the car was last inspected in Kentucky in 1985. According to the previous owner's title it had 63200 miles when he bought it in 1984. Now it has about 71000 miles. It was idle in a heated garage for the last 15 years. The car was restored in the early 80's and painted red originally being white. The paint really looks good and only has some normal chips, etc. This is a driver needing only a few things to make it super. We got the car running and did the following: New oil and filter, replaced all 3 brake hoses, replaced front calipers, new rotors and repacked wheel bearings, replaced front hub seals, replaced brake master, new slave cylinder and hose, new fuel pump and all rubber fuel lines, cleaned and replaced all carb gaskets, seals and jets and one new brass float, converted to one new 12v battery, replaced steering rack boots tie rod ends and alignment, clean inside of rack and pack with 90w, 4 new tires, checked trans and diff oil levels, new points, condenser, and set timing, rear wheel cylinders and brakes are newer. This service was done by a reputable British Car mechanic that works on my other cars. Engine runs strong, holds good oil pressure at idle and while running as seen in the picture. Car runs cool too. Starts easily and shifts well. There is a bit of a rake if you pull into 2nd quickly, but normal shifting is fine. Downshifting is fine too. All gauges work and the dash is excellent. The turn signals still need sorted however the brake lights and head lights work fine as the mechanic delivered the car to me driving it over 80 miles. Interior is decent and drivers seat bottom has a small tear, carpets are older but good for a driver and I have a new set of door panels that will go with the car that will need cleaned, they are original Amco from years ago, the front kick panels are also here and will be installed. The convertible top is functional but will need replaced at some time. The car comes with a rare Hard Top as seen in the pictures, it does have a slice in the vinyl on top. Body and frame are nice and the car presents well. Frame and body are super solid as is the trunk. Spare is here. This car runs and drives very well and I welcome any inspections or calls at 814-931-0627. If you are looking for a MKII 1600 to drive as is or want to restore one that is complete, this is it. Clean the engine compartment and sort out the turn signals and this car will be super. I will assist in shipping as long as all arrangements are made well in advance by buyer. I do advertise locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. I'm sure you won't be disappointed so bid away. There are a really nice set of side curtains. I have a clear title in my name ready to transfer.
