Car description |

Offering a rare and desirable example of British Leyland motoring history. The 1980 MGB Limited Edition was created to mark the end of new MGB sales in the North American Market. The production period of the North American version "LE" was 1979-1980. The stipulation was that an "LE kit" would be only installed on black cars and to buy a black car of that time period, it had to be a Limited Edition only.
There were 6,668 produced in the two years of production.
In addition to the color specific exterior, numerous components are specific to the Limited Edition model. These items make the Limited Edition unique in comparison to standard MGB's of 1979-80. Here's a list of those components
Front air dam - left corner damaged
L.E. Five spoke alloy wheels with MG hub center
Silver lower body stripes with Limited Edition writing
Luggage rack
Leather covered, padded, three spoke steering wheel with a special MG center hub
A Limited Edition dash plaque installed on the glove box
This 1980 MGB Limited Edition Roadster is finished in original black exterior with the optional tan interior. Interior has some wear and tear. It has fewer than 50k miles. It has always been stored in a garage. The convertible top has a small tear on the left rear side. Factory tonneau cover is included and has a few small holes. The engine is 1798 cc/4 cylinder with a four-speed manual gearbox. New stereo installed with CD/MP-3 player.
This great car is the culmination of the MGB series that began in 1963. MG prices continue to rise and this is a great deal on a classic British roadster.
