Car description

Beautiful 1972 MGB Roadster. This iconic British Roadster is a low mileage, original matching numbers car that was restored and tuned by the legendary John Twist of University Motors. https://universitymotorsltd.com/ The car still bears his name plate in on the engine.

Finished in the factory color Glacier White, over a like new black interior with a black convertible top. These earlier chrome bumper MGB Roadsters are quickly becoming very collectiblecars, and this one is a fine example to add to anyone’s collection.

Only driven in good weather and always stored in a garage. The low 42,900 odometer miles are original and accurate to best of my knowledge. Accident free. Solid, honest car with no visible signs of serious corrosion. This convertible classic is fun to drive - a great summer vehicle in very good condition.

Although I am British, I am not an MG guy. I am selling this vehicle to fund my Vintage VW’s, which is my real passion. So please read the following info on the car, and ask all questions before bidding. I will try my best to answer them.

A previous owner, a Doctor in Grand Haven Michigan had the car restored several years ago. An older restoration that still shows very well. The restoration was performed by the well-known MG enthusiast, tuner and restorer John Twist of University Motors, so you know it was restored to a high standard. John Twist and his crew also were responsible for tuning the motor and added some performance bolt on parts that make it very peppy and sound awesome!

I understand from the previous owner that John still remembers the car, taking it for a spin, and put it through its paces at a local club meeting a couple of years back. Please do your research on John. He is a very knowledgeable guy!

Awesome interior. Beautiful optional wooden steering wheel and matching shifter knob. The dashboard and console are free of cracks or warping, the seats are newly refinished with new foam inside and new covers, gauges are clear, and door panels are new, with a new full carpet set, and MG rubber mats. Only part missing that I am aware of is the ashtray.

This car has been well maintained. It has a very clean body for its age. As far as I can tell the frame and underneath is solid and in great shape. It drives down the road fine, and everything seems to be in working order. The convertible top with zip-out window is in great shape and operates, as it should. It does however have a small crack in the pass-rear quarter window, but it has been patched well, and does not leak. All glass is good and original. Vent windows work fine. Door glass cranks up and down fine. Suspension and components are tight with no issues. Stainless performance exhaust that sounds awesome! All electrical seems good, wipers work fine, nice headlights, all lights work etc.Car has a modem stereo system that sounds good, but could be removed if wanted, as it has not been installed by cutting interior panels etc. Parking break needs to be tightened. Has all original 5 wire wheels with knock off tool to remove them, and has original jack also.

Overall, the car runs drives and sounds Awesome! – Great little sports car!
