This 1969 MGB Roadster was recently donated to a local charity and is for sale on their behalf. Purchased new in Sunnyale Ca, it has spent it's entire lifetime on the San Francisco Peninsula. An amazingly original, rust free car that has been well kept and maintained throughout the years. While it runs and drives well, it could use some TLC and a bit of cosmetic freshening. The paint appears to be original and has a tired patina that is beyond polishing out. The chrome has minimal pitting and should shine up well with a little effort. The top and tonneau cover were replaced recently and both are in great condition. All foot wells, rockers, and the trunk floor are rust free and show no evidence of repairs.Inside, the seats look good with no tears or seam splits and the carpets look as if they were replaced recently. Under the carpets are the original rubber mats and rust free floors which can be difficult to find on older MGs. The dashboard has some vinyl delamination that was addressed with glue at some point, and the steering wheel has black tape where the spokes are to cover some cracks in the rim. All controls seem to work well with the exception of the fan. Even the BMC AM radio works!Mechanically it has been well maintained and although the battery is dead it starts readily with a jump start and runs and drives well. Both the clutch and brakes work well. The tires are older radials that have some sidewall cracks and should be replaced before and long distance drives.A nicely preserved yet weathered MGB as you might have found in the 1980's. Selling for a charity, so the reserve is very reasonable.
