Car description

1976 MGBORIGINAL

1976 matching numbers, unmolested, MGB Roadster still in its original harvest gold paint. I believe to be original mileage. Purchased fromthe original owner 1997, this MGB has sat covered, in a garage for last 20years.

The exterior as mentioned above, is original Harvest gold in color, needsa re spray however no crashes or major rust though. The chrome trim set is complete, unmangled and has good shine to it. The fit and gap all around is excellent. The doors all open and shut very nicely and the glass is clear and not cracked. The seals are old and cracking and could definitely be replaced for better curb appeal, and the bumpers could also benefit from beingrestored This B sits on four good wheels with MG crested caps and chrome trim rings, that should clean up with some work although the tires should be replaced before any serious driving is considered.

The interiorhas not aged well it is all there but most needs to be redone door panels are not bad but seats anddash have tears carpetonly good for using for patterns. However, it is very presentable and comfortable to sit in. The dash is infairconditionexcept for one area The interior electrical isnotworking at the moment. The horn, wipers, brake lights, sidelights, reverse lights, headlights (high beam only) do not work. The indicators work if you hold them in place, but do not self-cancel. There currently radio does not work it did when I first got the car but now does not now The trunk space is tidy and complete with a spare tire, tool roll, and jack trunk light also works.

From cold this car starts up . The engine sounds healthy without any unwanted noises, shows good oil pressure 7580 psi and it does not overheat. The speedo and tach both seem to read accurately. The steering is tight and responsive, and the gearbox feels really good, and easily and smoothly shifts in and out from gear to gear. The clutch has been rebuilt but still needs to be bled takes a few pumps to get it to disengage The brakes areresponsive I would likehave them gone through at some point. The pedal is firm and it pulls up straight. This roadster has recently , upper and lower radiator hoses, fuel pump, and needle valves in the carburetors replaced, new batter, water pum, fanbelt, battery terminals both clutch master cylinder and clutch slave cylinder and fuel filter and some fuel lines. .

Top needs to bereplacedhowever I removed it from the car and have all mounting brackets and hardwareBows and clamps alltherein goodshape

Overall this MGB is an excellent driver with plenty of potential. A very original, survivor that hasn’t been modified and molested is becoming harder and harder to find, so bid to win this MGB roadster that will surely put a smile on your face and turn heads driving around the town. Bid with confidence As always, I would advise inspecting the car in person if at all possible. Please also note that we reserve the right to end this auction early should we receive an offer we can't refuse. Could be drove home in the day light as the headlights to not work at this time.
