Here is the situation. I have two 1976 MGBs for Sale. I have a collection of about 10 British Cars and need to reduce my herd. One is very solid and was a Texas car. Floor pans and rest of the body is rock solid. There is some very minor surface rust mainly around the body panel trim fill pieces. This one is the green car. It has only 64K miles on it. Dealer installed AC. seems to work. good compression on the engine. new brake lines front. new rear wheel cylinders. new clutch master cylinder. new tires (95%). tranny shifts as it should. rebuilt carburetor. The only bad things are the front right fender is dented in. It could be fixed because it is solid. myself I would have fixed it. The white MGB has about 74. 20 miles on it. The bad - floor pans and inner rockers should be replaced. I was going to part this car out because of the load of great parts including an overdrive transmission in nice working order…. Here is the list- Nice Dual carbs in nice shape- Aluminum does not seem pitted and air cleaners are in very decent shape. Nice exhaust manifold- no catalytic converter and better flow than later models. Good running engine with good compression. alternator and rest works. Both the left and front suspension has been rebuilt with new bushings. (triunons ?). new shock pans and A- arms (If selling on ebay on would get $320 per side in this condition) Decent radiator New Tires (99%) Nice windshield and frame. and rubber- my past experience hard to find in this condition and replacing windshield rubber is often a major task. Top and top frame are decent. Seat foams and frame are nice. Dash is like new. no cracks no fading. best I have personally ever seen and appears to be stock. Seat belts work Doors are solid and vent glass frames are not cracked. Doors will need to be welded as both sides have the vent glass suicide crack. I can MIG weld if someone wants me to after purchase. Both front and rear bumpers are in really nice shape other than the rear bumper has two small holes were drilled in the top. And of course the overdrive transmission worth about $800 by itself. THIS IS THE LATE TYPE UNIT OPERATED OFF OF THE TURN SIGNAL OR WIPER STALK correct for 1976. THIS SHOULD BE A DIRECT BOLT IN FOR 1968 TO 1980 models. I think you get the idea. I know from experience (please check what I sell on ebay and feedback) what the parts alone are worth from this car. They are worth my reserve price only. Now for all the legal boring stuff: Seller provides NO warranties. guarantees. expressed. written or implied. The high winning bidder to pay $500. dollars.
