Car description |

For sale is this immaculate fire engine red single owner MGB. It is owner by an actor here in Hollywood who would very much like the car to go to a good home.
The car's history is an interesting one. It was special ordered in 1964 to have a Austin Healy 4 speed transmission with 2 overdrive selections. It was also ordered with a removeable hardtop.
The car was stollen from the owner twice, by the same man! The first time it happened, the man was caught and the car was returned with no issues. Months later, the man stole the car again, this time removing the vin plates and engine block numbers. He was arrested for a 2nd time and the owner had to go to court to prove he was the rightful owner. It was proven he was, indeed, the owner and the California DMV issued a US vin plate, which was placed on the inner driver's side door, where it remains today. All registration and title are up tod ate.
Sadly, when the car was stollen, the original top with portals was never seen again. The owner bought a new top, which comes with the car.
Overall, for a car that is 52 years old, its condition is remarkable! The paint is slightly faded on the upper surfaces but still shines up amazingly well. There is a crease in the driver's side door, and some chipped paint on the hood but other than that, it's good. The interior is very taken care of!
The car runs and drives very, very well. Starts right up and purrs like a kitten. This is a great car and a great addition to someone's car collection!
