I did this installation. Previous owner had rebuilt the engine with a performance cam, low thru exhaust manifold and muffler. I bought it and to say it mildly, t had a lot of guts. Engine at idle waslike one with a performance cam, ot smooth. I accepted this as due to its great performance. I took the car on an interstate and it burned a hole in a piston. Hence, he rebuild. During the rebuild I checked the timing and found it advanced beyond what it should have been. This was the cause of piston failure. Adjusted the timing to factory setting during rebuild. It now idles much better and still has lots of guts. Took it out on an interstate for 200 mi. trip and it performs like it should. Checked cylinder walls and valves at rebuild. They are in A-1 condition. I have rebuilt many engines and this one is in excellent condition. This is like a car with a new engine.
