I purchased this MG Midget to restore in 2006 to restore. It was a running, rivable car but unreliable with many obvious problems. I drove the car around for a year and then I disassembled the car down to the unit body leaving the suspension in place and took it to the body professional. The body was rusty in all the usual locations. The body man cut out all the rusty metal and welded in replacement metal. Inside the cockpit area was painted with a special black paint to protect against rust. The rest of the body was painted in Aconite, n original MG color appropriate to the year model. I reassembled the car and reworked/replaced many parts and systems as already described. The interior trim is all new except for the dash pad which is a used unit. The car is a good driver but and starts easily. I recommend interested parties come to see the car. It's parked in an airport hangar at Plantation Airpark, creven County, eorgia.
