1952 MG TD CONVERTIBLE RED W/ LEATHER 4 SPEED DRIVES GREAT BRITISH MGTDLOW RESERVE!!This is a privately owned and great running 1952 MG TD convertible. Its Red with tan leather interior. It has all original numbers. Always stored in heated/AC garage and been in the same British family for 15 years. In great shape and a nice show car, lthough not show winning quality (has a few scratches) It is an A1 driver. Over the years it has been lovingly looked after. It was restored back in 1980 and has done only a couple of thousand miles since then and well maintained. The original miles are unknown.Body and chassis is 100% rust and rot free, uaranteed. It has powder coated wheels with a full set of hub caps and emblems. New bumpers and luggage rack and all other chrome is in great shape great. The brake system was replaced approx 2 years ago which included a new master cylinder, rake lines, heel cylinders and shoes. The brakes work great and it stops straight and true. New front shocks were installed at the same time. The steering kingpins are fine. The engine is sweet, ses no oil (good compression) and maintains factory oil pressure and temperature even on hot summer days. Heater works great too in the winter. The carbs work fine but probably need a refurbishment in the near future. Engine drips a bit of oil at the crank case rear seal, s they all do.A new clutch plate and pressure plate was replaced last year, nly to find out the problem was in the clutch linkage. The old clutch and plate is included as a spare. Gearbox is perfect and all gears engage smoothly and quietlyThe top is the canvas style (not Vinyl) and in good shape as is the rear window. There is a brand new custom full toneau cover made of the same material as the roof. The side screens have been restored with new powder coat on the frames and canvas and look good but need some TLC to polish up the plastic windows. The interior has new black carpet, reat leather seats and all the instruments work. Revcounter is a bit optimistic and probably needs cleaning and recalibrating. The only thing that doesn't work is the fuel warning light on the dash. Actually it does work because it is always on, o matter how full the tank is. So that needs fixed. A dipstick is used to check fuel level.Apart from rebuilding the carbs as mentioned above and the fuel light and that's about all that needs attention. Some documentation is included. All in all a great and genuine British Classic.SEE OUR 99% POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND BID WITH CONFIDENCE. EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS.
