Up for bid is a 1982 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park wagon. Exceptionally rust-free undercarriage and body with just one dot showing as seen in pics. Well equipped with cold a/c and lots of power stuff. Ford's 302 CI (5. 0L) 2 bbl carb V8 and 4 speed automatic transmission. Lots of new parts under hood. Not a show car at all - has some wear and tear but looks nice at 10 feet and for a 33 year old car. she's in pretty good shape. Prior owner marked 87k actual miles in 1995. and reads 11k now: I don't know if it's been over more than once. but do know that it's in good shape for year and runs STRONG and drives GREAT - drive this car anywhere. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking. missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Good battery & good charging system. Starts easy and runs strong. Newer alternator. water pump. radiator. exhaust manifold gaskets. A/C compressor. cap/rotor/wires. TRANSMISSION: Performs beautifully. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all four forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Shifts nice and hard with shift kit. Clean fluid with no burn odors. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is in very nice shape with no notable dings - very straight down the sides. Under close inspection you can see left rear quarterpanel had some body work near the gas door. The only rust on the body is a small bubble above right taillight as seen in pics. Door bottoms nice with no rust. Above average body. Paint: Paint is very nice except one deep scratch in hood as seen in pics. Fake wood panelling is nice but with some sun fade on the passenger side as seen in pics. Other: Chrome front bumper has some pits in the chrome. rear anodized bumper has some scratches in the center. Glass is all good. Undercarriage is exceptionally nice and solid - see the pics - no rust in rear frame rails. Spoked hubcaps in good shape with some curb rash. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is pretty nice - not really worn much but shows its age. Dash has no cracks and carpets are nice. Door panel fake wood has some fade spots. headliner sagging in a few spots. Seats are nice with some minor wear on the driver's seat Cargo deck and 3rd seating in nice shape. See pics for accurate depiction. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights. horn. wipers. etc. ) Heater core disconnected (add $220 if you want fixed) and cruise doesn't work. All other power stuff works - power driver's seat. power windows. power locks. cold a/c. rear defroster and power rear window all work. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out beautifully! Steering is pretty tight (about an inch of play all in the box. not the linkage). alignment is good. suspension is tight with rear air shocks aired up (softer ride if you let air down). Brakes work well with good linings and no vibration. Tires have about 70% tread remaining on a matched set of Cooper Trendsetter radials. Solid exhaust with gno leaks. Drives out smooth and strong.
