I PURCHASED THIS CAR FOUR YEARS AGO FROM THE SECOND OWNER IN EVANSVILLE. IN. THIS WAS MY MAIN COMMUTER CAR TO AND FROM WORK UNTIL THE STARTER WENT OUT OF IT EIGHT MONTHS AGO. AT THAT TIME I PARKED IT AT MY DAD'S BECAUSE I HAD ANOTHER DIESEL I WAS DRIVING FOR A BACKUP. THIS CAR WAS EXTREMELY DEPENDABLE WHEN I PARKED IT. IT NEVER FAILED TO START AND GET ME TO WORK. THE STARTER IS OFF THE CAR AND WILL NEED TO BE REBUILT. EVERYTHING WORKED IN THE CAR WHEN I PARKED IT FROM THE A/C. TO A REALLY EFFICIENT HEATER. GREAT BREAKS. ETC. EVEN THE LOW FUEL LIGHTS. ETC. WORKED. THE FIVE SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WORKED GREAT AS WELL. THIS CAR WOULD AVERAGE 56MPG WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. AT THE TIME I PARKED IT ONLY THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT WORKING. I BELIEVE IT NEEDED A CRUISE MODULE IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. AFTER I PARKED THE CAR I DID TAKE THE INJECTOR PUMP OFF INTENDING TO HAVE A NEW SEAL KIT PUT IN IT BECAUSE THE O RINGS WERE STARTING TO LEAK OIL. BUT WITH MY TRUCKING BUSINESS ON THE SIDE I JUST HAVEN'T HAD TIME TO GET IT INTO MY DIESEL MECHANIC. NEARLY EVERYTHING IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR THESE OLD DIESELS. THEY ARE INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT ENGINES. THIS CAR DOES HAD POWER STEERING AS WELL. THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WILL NEED AIR DUE TO SITTING. THIS CAR WILL NEED TO BE TOWED SINCE THE INJECTOR PUMP AND STARTER ARE CURRENTLY IN A BOX. I CAN DELIVER IF WE CAN AGREE ON A PRICE. THIS CAR IS RARE AND VERY WORTH FIXING UP. I SILL DRIVE A DIESEL LIKE THIS TO AND FROM WORK EVERY DAY. THERE IS A LITTLE RUST IN THE ROCKERS. DOOR SKINS. ETC. . BUT PARTS ARE EASILY FOUND AT THE JUNKYARDS SINCE THE BODY PANELS FROM THE GAS TOPAZ/TEMPOS ARE INTERCHANGEABLE. EVERYTHING IS DIRT CHEAP FOR THESE CARS.
