Car description |
---|
1968 Mercury Cyclone GT 2 door. This is truly a "Barn Find". Off the road since 1978, I found this car in Kentucky over 13 years ago and it's been stored inside until now. 65,175 miles.
Nugget Gold with Black Interior. Matching Factory S Code 390 4V, back in the day someone changed the original 3 speed column shift to it's current 4 speed floor shift. It does have dual exhaust in really good condition, car is very quiet. This car runs very well showing no signs of smoke on start up or running! It retains the factory radiator and all smog tubes. This car drives and brakes work! New Battery, rebuilt carb, new spark plugs and wires were install along with new brake hoses, rear drums, front and rear shoes and master cylinder.
All original paint with no signs of any previous body work. Only the hood has been replaced with a Torino hood in red primer as the original hood was badly folded over from being forced open with rusted hood hinges. You will need a Cyclone hood. Please look at the pictures to see how really solid this car is. There are some holes in the left and right floor and at the bottom of the rear wheelhouses and quarter edges.
This car would be an amazing restoration project or drive as is. It has matching original trim rings and hub caps on the original gold painted rims with Sears and Roebuck tires. Even the spare wheel is painted gold! The car is complete. The windows do roll up and down properly. It starts no problem and does brake properly.
Please, NO overseas buyers. No reserve. Buyer is responsible for all shipping.
