1958 Mercury Medalist 2 Door Sedan

1958 Mercury Medalist 2 door for sale. Has the 312 V8 engine with 3 on the tree manual transmission. The car runs, drives and stops well. It was part of an older gentleman's collection and I know it has not been driven much in the last 10 years. This is a nice solid car all around that has no major rust issues. Body is straight and the paint is in good condition. Keep in mind this is a 63 year old vehicle, it could use a few little things. I would recommend having the vehicle shipped/trailered. Here are a few things I have noticed. The battery goes dead, I think there may be an issue with the generator. Engine has an oil leak, it left a spot on my garage floor. When it's cold, it cranks for a while before firing up (carburetor?). I could not get the radio to turn on. There may be a few other little things but those are what I have noticed. It's not perfect, but is an overall nice car that needs a little love (don't they all). I have searched the web and haven't found another for sale. There were just 7750 2 door Medalist built in 1958.
