This Bright Red Cougar XR-7 Convertible is ready to drive and show! The 2nd generation Cougar, 1971 to 1973, remained a popular choice of the "younger crowd" that Lincoln wanted to attract to their showrooms. New though, was more formal design touches such as the Lincoln Mark IV styling cue front bumper and a beautifully restyled rear end. It was really a radical change in design at the rear with large taillights wrapped by chrome bumpers. Cougars were similar to Mustangs although they were more upscale, especially with the XR-7, with a more luxury styled interior including the "woodgrain" dash and the four large dash gauge housings including one for the tachometer. This Cougar XR-7 is one you can enjoy on long cruise events and road trips. It has had a history of longer-term owners and has been restored as needed throughout the years. It appears to have been respected and well-cared for over the years too. It is Bright Red with a Saddle Tan interior and a newer Saddle Tan Convertible Top.
