A Custom 1949 Mercury 9CM Sport Sedan. A true lead sled! This one came out of the St Louis Plant in '49.Chopped, dropped, channeled, shaved door handles, nosed, decked, frenched head lights, lakes pipes.
$45,000 OBO.
She has a 350 SBC V8 that came from a 68 Camaro along with the 350 Turbo Trans. A B&M floor mounted star-shifter.
Since I have had her I have added:New spark plugs less than a year agoChanged front springs less than a year agoAdded CVF Wraptor serpentine systemAdded Borgeson power steeringAdded Vintage AC.Added brand new American Wiring wire harness under dash with all new wiring.Added Classic Instruments Vintage gauges to the dashAdded Power front disc brake conversion and new Master Cylinder and break lines.Brand new Coker white walls.Recently replaced gasket seals.*I can include the original gauges if you would like and you could get them rebuilt.
Sedan with Suicide doors.Chopped Top. Including the doors! So clean many people have to look closely to notice its a sedan!Frenched HeadlightsDropped suspensionNosedDeckedShaved Door Handles
The body is clean, the lines are solid. Tried to show that with the pictures and angles. The chop on the top is really clean and straight. No dents or dings on this body. No dimples or hail damage. There is a slight little dent on a piece of trim, but easy to fix. There is no latch inside the trunk, as it was removed years ago by previous owner when it was decked. She rides with an older rebuild and paint. Paint is good but not perfect. The blue is popular, reminiscent of Biscay Blue. Full disclosure: There is a paint blister on rear driver side door, and a few little knicks and road chips here and there. Only noticeable if you know they are there and are looking for them. Interior is plush & has seats from a Cadillac. She’s a driver and a head turner. I get her out to shows almost every weekend. Recently won best of show at a show here in Dallas a few weeks ago. Constantly in Top of Class or in Top 20/30.
I have invested heavily working on mechanicals. But it’s time for someone to take her paint and interior to the next level. Pictured with 57 Cadillac hubcaps, flipper caps in other. Will include both sets of front caps with sale. Clean Texas title is in my hand. Recently just registered with 49 plate that will come with the car. I have receipts for all major work done since I owned it.
Car is based in Fort Worth Texas. Once payment is made I will over night the title to you. Seller is responsible to make arrangements for transfer. Please note, she will get on an 18' dove tail trailer. Its a delicate process, but it is doable. Otherwise, an exotic hauler will be needed to keep it level as it is lowered. Payment can be Cash, Cashiers Check, or money wire.
Car is listed at $45,000, but I will entertain any good offer. So make an offer. Own a piece of history.
