Car description |

Up for auction is a really nice, original 1963 1/2 Mercury Marauder two door hardtop collector car. This car was originally purchased in Oakland, California and spent most of it's life in California. The car was purchased from the original owner in 2002 and brought to Wisconsin by the current / 2nd owner. The car was meticulously maintained and stored well it's entire life. It has never seen snow. We have the original window sticker from the car also. It now has a clear Wisconsin title.
The drivetrain is the original 390 cu. in. V-8 with the original transmission. Both were rebuilt some years ago but the car was not been driven a lot since then. The suspension is all stock. The car has power steering and power brakes- it runs and drivesgreat.
The body on this car is excellent. It has mostly original paint except for somespots where it was touched up.Thehood, roof, and trunk are excellent. There are a few scratches and touch up areas on the sides. All the chrome and trim is there and in very good condition. The glass is all good. Please check out the underbody pictures. This is a great example of an unmolested original car that has been well stored and maintained over the years. The original wheels, wheel coversand tires also come with the car.
The interior is very good and almost all original. The headliner was replaced and is inexcellent condition. Original seats have Sears seat covers on them. All the lights and gauges work like they should. The clock and heater fan do not work.
Cars with original paint in this condition are very hard to find. The car really needs nothing- you can get in it and drive it anywhere today. This car would be great to start cruising to the car shows and is rare enough to make a great addition to someone's collection. There were only about 2300 of these cars made in 1963. We do have the car for sale locally so we reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Please look at the pictures, call or email your questions or come and look at the car in person.
