This body is rust free and the underbody is rust free which is a testament to the care of this fine MercuryThe leather interior is as close to new as I think you would ever see for 37 years old. the dash chrome plated trim is exceptional and the woodgrain is flawless. amazingly clean interior in Rare Dark Camel. Light Camel Two Tone with dual "Lounge Chair "seats that are power adjustable. Dark spots shown in carpet is the nap of the carpet. not stained. just smooth over the carpet with your hand and the nap lays the other way and shows differently. The glass is in mint condition and the weatherstripping around all the body openings is soft and supple. not dry rotted like most this age. The paint is very nice as you can see in the pics and the only real paint issue is in the center of the hood. there are several chips where something fell on the hood while stored in the garage. Every option works on this vehicle including the stereo. cruise control. auto temperature control . power antenna. power seats(both sides). power windows . intermittent wipers. power trunk opener. rh visor lighted vanity mirror. rear wdw defroster. etc. Newer Michelin radial tires and new dual exhaust This Classic Mercury only averaged 2. 00 miles per year of driving. the engine bay is clean and tidy. especially for a 37 year old car. you can still see the ink inspection stamps on the valve covers. still has the plastic battery shield around the battery. very unusual to still have this. Has plenty of power and drives effortlessly down the freeway getting attention wherever it goes. No known mechanical issues and has had the best of care. the original spare and jack are still hidden behind the trunk curtain and look as if never on the ground .
