Hello, my husband andIjust recently moved into his grandfather's old house so we can make it our home. We spent the last few months just cleaning and grouping his old items from the attic, garage, basement, shed, andwithinthe house. In this house are a century of old antiques, classics, and auto parts. Most of these items are marked and labeled what they are. We are fortunate to have saved more than half of these items within this house. I think we might have 40% left of vintage sellable items left to sell. A lot of these sold items went all over the world to appreciative buyers. I think a really nice looking one owner/driver mercury. the car looks like a garage kept car since new. the car was activity used up to around 2014 then parked ever since. before that it was regularly maintained and a lot of upgrades & improvements where completed before that time of the last inspection was due. the car had all fluids changed, 4 new tires, new brakes, full tune up, battery, and anything else to pass inspection back in 2014. since then it sat so i had a local mechanic do a mild tune up to make this car run again. checked all fluids. adjusted brakes. charged battery and drain old gas to replace it with fresh gas. the car starts, idles, stops, and doesnt over heat. still has some old gas in the system and i do recommend a full tune up and a once over to be confident in the car. yes you can drive it but i would tow it long distance till your satisfied with it. the car many signs of being 48,000 miles on it but it does show some signs of age. the vinyl top shows wear. the hood has some clear coat and flaking in some areas. the left headlight bezel shows damage but a new one in the box comes with the car and its in the trunk as pictured. the worse about the car are the four spots/sections of rust/rot/bubbling, the left lower quarter panel, the right lower quarter panel, around drivers side door mirror and passenger side lower panel. the rockers, floors, trunk and so on is solid. the car has a lot of power options. the windows all work but they move very slowly and needs lube. the gas tank sending unit sticks sometimes to read the gas gauge as well. other than what i noticed i think this is a great old car that will last a long time. no need to keep it sitting around here anymore. no reserve and any price in mind just let me know. thank you.
