This Flat Black 1949 Mercury 2 door is powered by a Buick 455 mated with a turbo 400 transmission with a shift kit and a Lokar 23 inch floor shift.
Custom upgrades are as follows:
Edelbrock aluminum performance intake manifoldEdelbrock 4 barrel carburetorHigh volume oil pumpHEI ignition.Holley red fuel pump.
Aluminum 3 core radiator with auxiliary pusher fan.

Camaro front subframe
Pontiac Trans Am Disc brake rear end with four wheel power disk brakes.
Rear sway bar with traction masters and Gabriel air shocks.
Power steering with tilt column and trans am steering wheel.
NOS Mercury speedometer with Auto meter gauges
Pioneer stereo system with remote 10 disc cd changer. Black leather Interior is from a 1997 Buick Riviera with power driver seat. Pleated door panels with power windowsSafety glass except for rear window.

Coker white wall tires with fender skirts.
This car is a great driver and goes to local cruise nights and car shows, paint is far from perfect and has some touch ups but shows well.
Drive as is or use as a great starting point for a more radical custom, this is an unchopped 2 door merc which is very hard to find. 1949 and 1950 2 door Mercury's are hard to find like this!
