1955 Mercury Monterey 2-Door Hardtop Coupe with Original 292ci Y-block V-8 motor

Up for auction is my gorgeous 1955 Mercury Monterey 2-door hardtop coupe, which has its original 292ci 8-cylinder motor with original Holley carb and air cleaner. The "Y block" motor is mated to a 3-speed "three on the tree" manual transmission with overdrive. This is a solid survivor classic driver with all original body panels with no damage or rust. The underside is also rust-free and has been painted black. The interior is new and done as original, tastefully to match. The motor does not burn or use any oil, starts right up and runs right out as she should.She has original drum brakes on all four corners and "arm-strong" steering. All the windows roll down and back up correctly. I have replaced the antenna with an original telescoping one after most of these pictures were taken. The speedometer is not currently working and the heater blower motor is not hooked up. I was planning on adding Vintage heat and air.
