Car description |
---|
Here we have our 1966 Mercury 4 door family sedan. It is in a good driver condition, beautiful metallic light blue bodywork, with a few bubbles on the bottom of the rear doors and one rear wheel arch.
Rear bumper has some rust pitting, but overall does not detract from the good looks of this car and is perfectly drivable, the automatic gearbox shifts beautifully and still looks and drives like you were back in a time when driving was such a pleasure, fantastic. Just me being totally honest now, the car drives down the road as it should, has a slight blow from the exhaust manifold, drips a little oil, but has plenty of power from that big block. Keeps up with modern traffic, with ease. Very comfortable to drive. I have owned this car for the last 4 years or so. The brakes are new all round but the front drum breaks do pull slightly to the right last time I drove it, so could do with re adjusting. The interior is good and clean with a few blemishes, but nothing bad. It is a good serviceable car and as with all old cars can be improved on, as you drive it. I would honestly drive this car anywhere. Just had top and bottom swivel bushes replaced, two new front tires and the balancing and alignment done.Rear and spare have plenty of tread left on them and are perfectly serviceable. If you want a good driver car that will last for years to come, maybe this is the one for you.I am only selling as I am reducing my collection down to a more manageable size, that time of life.Contact me via eBay message please.
