Car description

This 1986 Mercury Colony Park Wagon, has been garage kept since new, and yes the wood and paint is as good as it looks, chrome is sparkling, brightwork fresh and shiny. No fade in the woodgrain decals at all. I purchased from the second owner, who like the original owner, kept it garaged and covered, never in snow, salt or rain for the most part of its life. The underside of this beautiful wagon is as clean as the top, there is no rust on this wagon, all body panels are original and straight.
The cloth interior of this wagon looks as though it is maybe a year old, carpet shows no wear, headliner is perfect, dash pad has no cracks, no speaker cracks. The only imperfection on the inside is the grab handle on the drivers side door, it is split, and the little chrome trim from the end is missing, the leather wrapped wheel has a few marks on the top, and a small chip in the leather about 1/4 inch around.
This Mercury has been treated to new tires, although I would have gone with whitewalls, it has new flow through exhaust, a KN filter system, and some upgraded electrical under the hood. She runs strong and smooth, and was told by previous owner, that the transmission was rebuilt, I do not have the bill for that repair. This stunning wagon has 112K miles and looks like 30K, amazing survivor condition!
The door jambs are clean and have not been detailed, the dog legs are perfect, at this time the rear door only swings open, I may be able, time permitting to check the fold down operation, the rear glass works as it should so do the other electricals in the car. The original rear mat, is perfect, although the backing is starting to flake off of the carpet. Until recently the 9 passenger seats were in the factory bags and not installed in the car, the headliner is perfect.
