Get out of this world with the 1963 Mercury Meteor! With a name inspired by the space race, this classic beauty features a powerful 260 V8 engine and is a very rare, factory four speed. This was an optional engine upgrade that included a two barrel carb and brought with it an estimated 164 horse power, yeah baby! You will love the bucket seats and newly reupholstered interior. This Meteor features immaculate carpet, headliner, seats and chrome dash. Talk about... a blast from the past! The exterior is no different. Newer, factory correct red paint (with some bubbling around the passenger side rear wheel) and groovy chrome accents that were only available on the 63, this beauty is a real crowd pleaser. 1963 was just about the end of the great fins and this Meteor has them. Burn rubber while you cruise the gut in white wall tires. You will not believe how well it runs and drives. The mid-size Mercury Meteor was only in production between 1962-1963 so they are not easy to find, especially with all of these add ons. It looks to be a roughly five year old restoration and is being sold just how we purchased it, with the exception of replacing all floor pans.
