1949 Mercury Chopped Top Lead Sled Custo, this Merc has an awesome chopped look to it. It was built on a 1985 Buick LeSabre chassis and has the Oldsmoblie small block which is what Buick used in their cars that year. The car was built as a Rat Rod style ca, the body looks good but by NO MEANS is perfect. Again it was built as a rat rod style custom and is a fun enjoyable car to drive around in and not have to worry about every little nick or scratch . The car runs good has power brakes, power steerin, tilt whee, new tire, new exhaust and new aluminum radiator, new rear air shocks. All the lights wor, blinker, stop light, taillight, headlights and parking lamps. It has a custom made 1949 Merc dash with new after market gauges, all work but gas gauge, still needs the sending unit put in the tan, it has been tested outside the car and work, and the speedometer needs a cable. All in all the really hard work is done !! It still has a few things that need to be finished up. like door glass and regulators, outside door handle, wipers, the rear brakes are not hooked up (blocked off)and need to be completely gone through (missing hardware, I've been driving it with just the front disc brakes for now. Both the hood and the trunk use a prop rod to hold open, the front fenders are fiberglass replacements, still needs inner fenderwells under the hood or leave it as is without any. The interior needs a headliner and the window garnish moldings (which are included) need to be cut and fitted to the windows . So for the most part it's a pretty complete Merc Custom. If you've been looking for a Chopped Merc at a reasonable price then here it i, you can drive it as you finish it !! I'm sure that I'm missing both some positive and negative details about the car but i think overall this is a very honest description of what my car is all about. Please feel free to ask any and all questions you may have about the car before buying the car or making an offer. Also please see my Ebay feedback i try to describe all details on everything i sell the best i can . I will help with your shipper for picku, but keep in mind that the arrangements are your responsibility, and you will have to find a shipper that can pick up a car that sits ver, very low to the ground. Most likely an enclosed car trailer with a fold down rear door. Thanks for looking
