1968 Mercury Cougar 4 speed 289 "No Reserve Auction"

The body has 48752 miles on this car,the drive train 1200 miles.I worked on this car 21 months before putting it on the road to go to cruz-ins,and such related fun,or to just drive on a pretty day.The engin is all rebuilt never had but 46459 miles on the engin,was bored 10 over,heads re worked,hardened valve seats,flat pistons mostly stock,all new rings,bearings,valves, rockers,lifters, push rods,balanced and printed the engin.Up graded the harmonic balancer,high out put Torque Master $210 starter,Hooker Headers ceramic coated at Jet Hot in Berlington,NC.then I put stainless exhaust out in front of the rear wheels with stainless M80 Mufflers made be Pipes, this makes the car easy to work on in the future and gives it a nice look and aggressive sound.,rebuild the 600 Holly tuned it perfact 68 jets burns a hazel brown plug,starts and runs so nice it will never be replaced by any engin I ever had or will have.The 4 speed top loader replaced a 3 speed manual "original" was bought rebuilt at Blue Ridge Performance and they gave me an Hurst shifter with it.The car has Stuard Warner gages and need a stuart warner sending unit for the oil pressure gage to work properly I need to do this soon. The car is complete.and fun to drive.I sound proofed using 3M pads the interior and inside of door panels as well,then insulated,disassembled the entire doors and put all new rollers,regulators,sweeps,coated botton door inside with Pur15,hinge pins new outside handles and they click shut don't ever slam a door!All new JBL sound system with USB flash drive.Front and rear glass was replaced after painting the car from metal up.Trunk and Hood click shut.Rear end is a 270 original and has been taken out flushed, seals replaced and gives the car the abilty to perform well at interstate speeds.Replaced torque bar in suspension and aligned the car.Has 17" mags.Has new gas tank OEM and all new lines,brakes are completely rebuilt,new shocks and underneath was soda blasted as well the whole body and painted.Paint is show quality.look at pictures.Call for questions 276-233-1485 This is a No Reserve auction
