Your very own barn find!
Mostly complete and original 1940 Mercury 4 door sedan. (It is a 1940, though the front plate pictured is 1939). Repainted to match original cream color in the mid 1980's and body and paint is still in great condition. Seats were recovered in a grey cloth, and headliner and door panels are original. Car is equipped with factory Philco radio and heater (which I understand was an option back in the day...). Dash plastic is not present. Not in running condition, but engine was rebuilt in the late 1970's to early 1980's. (Engine is a late 40's, early 50's V-8 flathead Mercury, but not the original). Due to the rebuild, mileage on odometer is not accurate. Car has been garaged and not been driven in over 30 years - will need to be moved by flat bed.
If you're the winning bid, $500 in 48 hours, with the balance within 7 days of close of auction.
Great car to finish off a restoration or another fun project.
