The Mercury Cougar initially hit the market in 1967 and was based on the Ford Mustang. Mercury finally gained its own Pony car and was an instant hit. The second generation hit the market in 1971 and was a bit larger and was closer in size to its main GM competitors such as the Olds Cutlass. The car features wood look facia trim, air conditioning, and a JVC stereo. The rear seats are in great shape. This car features the solid 351 Cleveland V8 engine mated to the usually automatic transmission and is a solid runner. The current owner claims that the vehicle has all new brakes, transmission pan gasket, and new tie rod ends. The car is a solid runner that needs just a bit of TLC to make her into a beauty queen.
